Community Impact Intern

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

Position Purpose:

• Draft communications, leveraging internal and external tools to support innovative and consistent team member service and giving messaging aligned to our mission and shared values.
• Administer programs, projects, documentation and/or processes specific to Centene ImpACT service or giving.
• Support development of service or giving events or campaigns and the associated administrative responsibilities.
• Compile and arrange data, charts and reports, including validating data accuracy and making recommendations for improving the metrics tracking and reporting process.

Preferred Skills/Experiences:

• Pursuing or acquired a BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Impact, Sustainability
• Proven ability to mobilize people to join social impact or engagement initiatives and knowledge of, or experience, building relationships with nonprofit organizations.
• Experience drafting and editing presentations and communications.
• Exceptional project/program management skills and the ability to structure and support multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills including report creation; ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into insights.
• High proficiency in MS Office programs, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to adapt to and learn new software programs/systems.
• General interest in best practices and trends in impact programs focused on community engagement and similar issues.

Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

• Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities

• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects

• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry

• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Complies with all policies and standards

Role is REMOTE, may work from any US location.

Dates: May 18th - August 8th (40hrs/wk.)

Pay: $18-26/hr. depending on experience

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
