Robotics Engineering Intern - Indianapolis, IN
Fabrication is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Department Supervisor, a Robotics Technician is responsible for developing and maintaining processes for robots in our fabrication department. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in manufacturing.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.
What You Will Do:
Program Industrial Robots
Develop Robotic process within the fabrication department.
Establish base line & maintain on-going measurements related to robot productivity.
Problem solves robotic and robotic cell issues.
Recommend, evaluate, and implement process changes.
Participate in Engineering in installation of new robotic processes.
Keep abreast of the latest programming techniques and recommend new processes and technology.
Optimize robot programming and analysis of part movement through process.
What You Need to Succeed:
High school diploma or GED required. Working towards Robotics Technology degree or Computer Integrated Manufacturing degree preferred.
Training and experience in multi-axis robots, robot maintenance, robotic programming, and PLC Ladder Logic programming required.
Working knowledge of motor controllers preferred.
Working knowledge of proper use of abrasive products preferred.
In addition, you ideally bring an ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete duties within specified times, but if not, we will happily provide the training and support you need to be successful!
