The Team & Role
Join our CO₂ Scroll New Product Development team and help shape the future of sustainable refrigeration technology. As a Project Engineer, you’ll work alongside a dynamic team of engineers to develop cutting-edge scroll compression systems with low global warming potential (GWP). This role involves daily collaboration across engineering functions, supply chain, and product management, driving innovation and solving complex technical challenges.
You’ll contribute to key programs involving machine learning algorithms, motor development, bearing lubrication analysis, and advanced data acquisition. You’ll also support sustaining engineering efforts for current production refrigeration products, working closely with manufacturing plants to resolve design and bill of material issues.
Key Responsibilities & Your Day-to-Day
- Develop and execute test plans to validate design improvements, cost reductions, and supplier changes.
- Create and implement new data acquisition and analysis methods.
- Provide engineering analysis using established tools and methodologies.
- Drive design and bill of material changes through the engineering change process.
- Support manufacturing plants with deviations, part shortages, and supplier-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, supplier quality, procurement, and lab groups.
What You Bring
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, including physics, mathematics, and materials science.
- 3+ years of experience in product development or sustaining engineering, preferably in refrigeration or HVAC.
- Experience developing and executing test plans, analyzing data, and validating design improvements.
- Familiarity with machine learning applications, motor development, and lubrication analysis is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, resolving bill of material issues, and driving engineering changes.
- Proficiency with CAD tools and product lifecycle management systems.
- Enjoys learning new technologies and contributing to innovative, sustainable solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in related field(s)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Anticipated Graduation of December 2026 or May 2027
