Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems.
We are looking for a Spring 2026 (January - May) Logistics Engineering Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas.
This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Lead logistics and supply chain initiatives including warehouse slotting optimization, production target setting, and Kanban planning to support efficient material flow and inventory control.
- Perform data analysis to drive decisions on floor layout changes and implement physical layout improvements aligned with operational goals.
- Utilize CAD tools to design and revise layouts that enhance warehouse and production area efficiency.
- Monitor and improve inventory accuracy through systematic reviews of raw material and Kanban processes, ensuring alignment with production needs.
- Plan and execute Kanban area resets, slotting adjustments, and warehouse reconfigurations to support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Rising junior, rising senior, or master's students: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related majors (must be enrolled as a student at the time of the co-op)
- Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co-op
- Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm) from January 2026 to May 2026
- Eligible candidates must have reliable job transportation and be located within 50 miles of Grand Prairie, TX as this role does not provide housing or relocation support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Experience with CAD software for layout design and physical space planning
- Strong analytical skills to interpret logistics, inventory, and production data for continuous improvement
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and implement changes in operations environments
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of Kanban systems, warehouse slotting strategies, and inventory control best practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply data-driven insights to optimize production and material flow.
- Familiarity with AI-aided modeling and programming tools to support process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
