Position Summary
The Medical Engagement Excellence Team is seeking a motivated and flexible individual with strong analytical and communication skills to join our team. This internship will provide exposure to the development and execution of the global Medical Engagement Customer Experience (CX) strategy and the opportunity to learn how Medical Engagement Excellence helps shape customer interactions across the organization. The intern will interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their needs. The opportunity includes gathering of data (documents, processes, etc.), conducting analysis, and providing feedback on business needs and requirements. Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to focus on details and think analytically and strategically in a collaborative, collegial, and fast-paced environment.
This internship is from June 1-August 7, 2026.
This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program. Employment in this role does not imply or guarantee ongoing or permanent employment with BMS.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in strategic discussions for key initiatives to align, understand interdependencies, and execute on next steps
Supports initiatives that contribute to enhancing the customer experience
Analyze data and determine the most effective and efficient means to communicate and tell a story across the organization
Support the Medical Engagement Excellence team by helping collect and organize input from global cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Medical, Field Medical, IT)
Assist in research and survey projects to gather insights on external customer (HCP/Thought Leader) needs and summarize findings
Contribute to the development of metrics, dashboards, or trackers that help measure customer experience and field medical impact
Help prepare communications, presentations, and updates that highlight progress, value, and impact of medical engagement activities
Assist in documenting best practices and creating simple tools (e.g., newsletters, visual dashboards) that support ongoing monitoring and knowledge sharing
Qualifications & Experience
Currently pursuing a PharmD, Nursing, BA/BS degree, college student with interest in science and/or pharmaceuticals
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to summarize findings clearly are required.
Experience in working with matrix teams or in a matrix environment is desirable
Ability to be innovative
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Basic skills in data analysis, visualization, or reporting (ex. Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools; experience with dashboards is a plus).
Familiarity or curiosity about the use of AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance data analysis, insights, and communication
Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $20/hr to $35/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job. Compensation details are subject to change.

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
