Your Impact at Lila

As a High Throughput Electrochemistry Co-op/Intern, you will play a hands-on role in accelerating Lila’s research initiatives at the intersection of automation, AI, and experimental chemistry. Your contributions will support platform development and help shape future discoveries in materials science and sustainability.

What You'll Be Building

  • Assist in the design and execution of high throughput electrochemical experiments
  • Operate automated lab equipment and instrumentation under supervision
  • Document experimental procedures and results meticulously for knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (AI, chemistry, Engineering, Automation) to drive projects forward
  • Contribute to lab process improvements and participate in scientific discussions 

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/MS/PhD program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Basic familiarity with laboratory safety and data management
  • Experience with electrochemical techniques (classroom or lab)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and methodologies
  • Effective communicator and strong team player 

Bonus Points For

  • Familiarity with programming (Python) for data analysis or automation
  • Experience working with liquid handling robots or automated lab systems
  • Prior internship or lab experience in electrochemistry, combinatorial chemistry, or high throughput methods
  • Interest in AI or computational methods as applied to laboratory science
