The Clinical Internal Audit Internship responsibilities include:
- The position primarily focuses on assisting the clinical internal audit team in responding to clinical, coding, billing compliance issues and assist in various investigations including potential drug diversions
- Perform audits and document findings with recommendations to address any deviations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Assist with process and quality improvements
- Keep abreast of federal and state healthcare regulatory issues
- Develop and provide educational training materials related to internal compliance as needed
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be computer and tech savvy
- Must be enrolled in coursework related to one or more of the following areas: Nursing, Coder Professional, Pre-Medicine, Public Health Related Professions & Services
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to be detail oriented in all reporting & auditing of projects
- Must have demonstrated facility with maintaining confidential information
- Must exercise strong communication skills
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change
