Overview
As a University Recruiter, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our talent pipeline.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle while fostering strong, lasting relationships. You will also partner closely with university representatives to strengthen and expand our campus network, ensuring access to a diverse pool of high-caliber candidates.
You will be part of an energetic and close-knit team that directly impacts the success of our firm. You will work closely with our Trading, Technology and Quant teams to attract, select and onboard the best Intern, Graduate and PhD talent in the market.
What you’ll do
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for technical hiring, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience from initial contact through to onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers throughout the hiring process, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Partner and collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand team dynamics, define the necessary job skills and requirements for each role, and develop a comprehensive campus hiring strategy for each academic year to achieve our recruiting goals.
- Apply an analytical approach to recruitment by leveraging data, statistics, and trends to inform your decisions and strategic tactics, ensuring we attract the best talent.
- Attend and facilitate career fairs, on-campus interview days, campus events, recruiting dinners, and networking/social events to promote our programs and engage with potential candidates.
- Design and produce onsite and external events from conception to execution, creating memorable and impactful experiences that enhance our brand and attract top-tier talent.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a recruiter, with prior experience in a University Recruiting team preferred.
- Experience working in a highly selective hiring environment with technology and/or technical candidates, demonstrating your ability to identify and attract top-tier talent.
- Passion for working with early careers candidates and thriving in high-volume application environments, ensuring a positive and engaging candidate experience.
- Demonstrated interest in developing candidate relationships and honing interviewing skills, showcasing your commitment to nurturing talent.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and adapt as needed with a sense of urgency, ensuring timely and efficient recruitment processes.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey information and build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset, capable of developing innovative solutions to attract and retain top talent.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise analytical skills to interpret data and inform strategies and decisions, ensuring data-driven recruitment practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel during peak recruiting cycles, attending career fairs, on-campus events, and networking opportunities to expand our recruitment reach.
