The Opportunity:
CACI is offering exciting paid Internship opportunities as a Junior Multimedia Specialist Intern.
CACI is seeking an intern to join our team that provides advanced multimedia support to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), specifically within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). In this role, you will assist in designing, creating, and enhancing graphical art and instructional videos that contribute to the overall success of the organization. You will support the development of objectives, vision, and concepts for communication deliverables such as training materials and instructional videos, focusing on design layout, color, formatting, and aesthetic quality. Additionally, you will assist in converting draft content and concepts into finished Section 508-compliant products. You will provide presentation support by assisting in modifying content to improve readability, flow, and clarity. Additionally, you will support instructional video production by developing scripts, combining recording and audio files, transitions, visuals, and animations (including intro/outro elements) while ensuring adherence to DHS guidelines, including color schemes and customer-specific logos. Furthermore, you will create visuals, graphics, and animations using appropriate toolsets, edit video recordings, and assist with video recording test-runs.
This is a hybrid position and requires onsite work three days a week at CACI’s DSS PMO located at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD.
Responsibilities:
The Intern will assist the team that provides advanced multi media and graphic design in support of senior executives at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), specifically within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Front Office. Ideal candidates will have assist the team that is responsible for designing, creating, and graphically enhancing graphic art in a highly visible, fast-paced, time-sensitive, IT-driven environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology or Computer Science
- Possess strong problem-solving, structured thinking, and the ability to transform data into well-organized content
- Possess strong creative skills, with the ability to conceptualize and develop multimedia solutions
- Ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze information from various sources to develop comprehensive documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with Subject Matter Experts and Federal government representatives
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Demonstrated adaptability, with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, technologies, and requirements in a dynamic environment
- Understanding and familiarity with Adobe applications for graphic design and multimedia production
Desired:
- Familiar with tools such as, Canva and TechSmith Camtasia for graphic design and multimedia production
- Familiar with technical coding, HTML, and rich-text skills
- Familiar with SharePoint, Power BI and UX/UI design.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
