We have a four-month co-op opportunity available to work with our Digital Technology team. In this role, you will assist our Digital Technology team in various computer programming/analyst activities as Raytheon ELCAN continues to grow. 

About Raytheon ELCAN:

Located about 50 kilometres north of Barrie, the Town of Midland offers a perfect blend of urban amenities and natural beauty nestled on the shores of Georgian Bay, making it an ideal place to work, grow, and belong.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing Tier1 Technical support for Information Systems and devices
  • Assembling configuring/upgrading PCs and peripherals
  • Installation of operating systems
  • Loading of application software
  • Troubleshooting PC issues
  • Organizing and managing asset inventories
  • Network cable termination and port configuration
  • User management in Windows Active Directory
  • Logical data access management
  • Work closely with Digital Technology team on projects
  • Perform other DT-related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Enrolment in Co-op College or Degree in Information Technology  or related field
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems
  • Understanding of key networking concepts
  • Experience working within a Microsoft Office environment including knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management and technical data management skills
  • Highly effective communications skills
  • Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program.
