Summer Internship Program – Security Overview

Ready to make your mark in the world of investments? Spend an unforgettable summer at Invesco alongside a select group of driven students. Our 10-week Summer Internship Program kicks off in June 2026 and offers you the chance to dive into the fast-paced world of investments, learn from industry pros, and build connections that will last a lifetime.

In this internship, you’ll get hands-on experience, one-on-one mentorship, and the inside scoop on what it’s really like to work at a global investment firm. As part of a Summer Internship Program cohort, you will have a variety of initiatives to keep you engaged throughout the summer including orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. You’ll work side-by-side with talented teams to learn about the business.

What you’ll do

  • Learn the Invesco business model and growth strategy (product, investment, sales, operations and corporate services) 

  • Develop professional skills and networking across the organization as well as the industry

  • Participate in cultural, security, and management training 

  • Assist in daily job assignments in support of global security functions to include but not limited to reporting, coordination of work activities across teams, enhancement of security tools, and automation of work where feasible.

  • Collaborate with Global Security Managers on key initiatives to help implement special projects.

  • Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain reports/presentations.

  • Propose ideas and solutions in support of improving the overall processes and security capabilities.

  • Participate in meetings with Early Careers security team and contribute to the influence of positive change and ideas

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2027

  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • All majors are welcomed with an emphasis on Information Security, Cyber Security, and Computer Science

  • Exceptional academic and leadership track record.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently and driving own initiatives.

  • Experience in analytics, and quantitative analysis.

  • Intellectual agility - the ability to learn and act on new information quickly and efficiently.

  • Ability to learn and operate security tools when required.

  • Team player across all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to work in one of Invesco’s offices where the program is available

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).

  • Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to adapt to ambiguous situations 

  • Ability to work well with others across teams with varied strengths 

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security, reporting and presentations using MS Office

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
