Connectivity

Connectivity group is leader in PHY devices for AI, cloud data-center and enterprise infrastructure. Our BU’s devices today power the full range of network connectivity from the optics of the AI GPU boards to Top of the rack optical fibers and active copper cables of the data centers and their fabrics. Connectivity verification group works closely with Analog and Digital design teams and Systems/DSP teams to incorporate and build models and testbench infrastructure for mixed signal designs and verify the digital and analog designs and micro-architectures against the system definition and requirements and also works closely with the software team to set up the API building infrastructure and guidelines.

Optical DSP (ODSP)

The ODSP team within Marvell’s Connectivity Business Group develops advanced products supporting industry leading solutions for the growing datacenter, enterprise, optics, and AI application. As a member of the ODSP validation team, you will have the opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary teams from analog, software, firmware developers and PCB designers to develop hardware platforms, and write device drivers and scripts to full validate leading edge products. You will be involved in complex lab testing, hardware brings up activities and all facets of the prototype process including PCB fab and assembly.

What You Can Expect

  • You will be supporting analog designers and system designers in defining the control sequence to enable and program SerDes IP and its constituent blocks.
  • Electrical, functional, and feature control routine coding and definition
  • Work closely across functional groups to determine and implement python control sequences and calibration algorithms
  • Support in validation of hardware blocks (PLL, ADC, DAC, etc.).
  • Support code testing automation and infrastructure development
  • Support IC bring-up and characterization.

Few specific projects focusing in the following areas are available

  • Low-level control board drivers and implementation.
  • Perform validation of specific high-frequency analog blocks.
  • Design of validation boards companion PCB (control-power).
  • Development of validation SW infrastructure components (Data Management/ GUI / Instruments automation).
  • Design of high-frequency PCB.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be a last-year master's student of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar technical field, enrolled at an accredited Italian university, or a recent (graduated in the last 12 months) master's graduate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in Python, and C/C++ and fond of data analysis
  • Familiarity with Analog and Digital design flows is a plus.
  • Familiarity with high-bandwidth oscilloscopes and BERTs is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Detailed oriented attitude and curiosity.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
