The internship will take place June 1st-August 7th 2026. Interns will be scheduled to work 30-40 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. This is a remote, work from home position. Pay Range
$20.00 - $20.00The IT Internship provides practical work experiences to college students assigned to Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Information Technology (IT). The intern will learn/observe basic IT functions such as: IT
configuration, implementation, support and maintenance of applications and solutions to meet the operational and technical needs of the organization. IT professionals serve as a liaison between clinical operations, internal information technology, system users and vendors, and ensure effective systems operations by monitoring applications and providing user support. The department will further develop specific job standards and guidelines for the internship
role.
Major Responsibilities:
- IT intern may research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
- IT interns must support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems.
- IT intern assists more experienced analysts in identifying and facilitating practices and procedures which result
- in successful conversions, updates, application recovery procedures, and assessments of hardware
- functionality.
- IT intern must troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers and servers.
- Intern run software updates backups when requested.
- Intern may research hosting options and report pricing and system options to supervisors.
- IT interns may participate in the development of new desktops, servers or applications.
- IT intern assists with the call tracking system, recording interactions with customers while consistently meeting
- established Service Desk Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- IT intern helps provide initial support troubleshooting, answering questions and resolving basic problems and
- issues related to LAN/WAN-based software, desktop computing equipment, printers, network status and
- applications.
- IT intern helps review and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and assists in developing
- strategies for improving or leveraging current systems. Reviews data integrity, audit reports and perform data
- analysis to support data requirements and initiatives.
- IT intern assists more experienced analysts in identifying and facilitating practices and procedures which result
- in successful conversions, updates, application recovery procedures, and assessments of hardware
- functionality.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Enrolled as Incoming Junior, or Senior at an accredited college or university
Experience Required:
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must be open and excited to learn new technologies and interested in pursuing an IT career.
- Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree.
- Grade point average of at least 2.5.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
- Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
