Burke is growing rapidly and we’re looking for an organized, communicative, team-focused Human Resources Intern to join our team! As the HR Intern, you will be able to support the HR team in a variety of projects related to all aspects of HR, including but not limited to acquisition, onboarding, development, engagement, data entry, compliance. Gain valuable experience in your field and enjoy a fun, energetic work environment.

Help us get our new Burkies ready to roll by assisting with onboarding materials and help current Burkies with HR-related activities such as benefits and questions about our HRIS system.

Get all the important data entered and assist with HR reporting and filing.

The Role

  • Support the HR team with projects and activities associated with the employee life cycle.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding preparation, new hire folder/documents and first day orientation material. Act as the point of contact for new hires.
  • Enter data into the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and preparing onsite career fairs.
  • Act as a point of contact for Burkies; be present on the floor.
  • Generate reports and gather data as needed.
  • Manage employee files.
  • Assist with creating and updating documents related to HR programs and policies.

Qualifications That Move Us!

  • Must be enrolled in a 4-year degree program or graduate program, with a focus in Human Resources or similar program with some HR related coursework completed
  • Self-starter, proactive nature, be able to work in a team environment.
  • Great customer service skills and be able to maintain a high level of confidential information and sensitive situations
  • Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Flexible work hours: option to work part time hours up to 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30pm M-F
