About the Role:
Join Dow Jones as a Marketing Intern and gain hands-on experience across a range of marketing disciplines including acquisition, strategy, content, operations, social media, and marketing analytics. 

This internship is ideal for students with broad marketing interests who are eager to explore different specialties while contributing to high-impact projects across our portfolio of world-class brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, and more.

This role is hybrid, based in our New York City office.

You Will: 

Depending on your assigned team, you may work on projects such as:

  • Campaign Development & Execution
    Assist with the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media channels to support acquisition, engagement, or brand goals.
     

  • Content & Social Marketing
    Curate and promote content (articles, newsletters, graphics, videos) across digital and social platforms. Collaborate on social media campaigns, performance tracking, and audience growth strategies.
     

  • Strategy & Business Operations
    Contribute to business growth by analyzing market trends, evaluating expansion opportunities (domestic or international), and supporting cross-functional planning across teams.
     

  • Data Analysis & Insights
    Leverage marketing data to generate insights on campaign performance, customer behavior, and channel effectiveness. Support modeling, attribution analysis, and scenario planning with tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau (role dependent).
     

  • Vendor & Process Management
    Support the operational side of marketing by helping to streamline vendor processes, build processes and documentation, and maintain internal team knowledge hubs.
     

  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    Work closely with teams such as brand, creative, analytics, legal, sales, and product to ensure marketing efforts align with broader business goals.
     

You Have:

  • You’ve completed at least two years of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Media, Data Science, or a related field.

  • BY NEXT SUMMER, YOU WILL BE:  either a rising junior or rising senior in your undergrad program.

  • Curiosity and passion for the marketing ecosystem—interested in one or more of the following areas: digital strategy, content, analytics, operations, or social media.

  • You’re analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret data and propose actionable insights.

  • You’re organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Suite, social platforms (e.g. Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok), Canva, Tableau, SQL, or Sprout Social is a plus, but not required.
     

Salary: $25.00/hour
