Business Assurance is the business area in DNV that delivers Management System Certification and Training services, globally and across industry sectors. We have an ambition to further expand our activities, both organically and through successful M&A activities. The M&A function manages the entire funnel from target scouting, through closing and into integration.

As part of this effort, we are looking for a dedicated and analytical intern to support our M&A function in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities across various industries and geographies. You will work closely with the M&A Project Coordinator and contribute to the early stages of the M&A funnel, gaining exposure to strategic screening, financial analysis, and market intelligence. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your understanding of corporate transactions and global business dynamics within a leading assurance provider.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Assist in managing the M&A funnel by tracking and organizing potential targets and active projects;

  • Conduct market and company research to support global screening efforts across multiple sectors;

  • Develop target profiles and compile intelligence from public and proprietary sources;

  • Analyze historical and projected financial data to assess strategic fit and business potential;

  • Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and decision-makers;

  • Engage with internal teams across regions to gather insights and validate findings.

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field;

  • Strong analytical and research skills with a structured approach to problem-solving;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases is a plus;

  • Familiarity with strategic frameworks such as Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT analysis and other tools for assessing industry and competitive dynamics.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal;

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;

  • High level of integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.

 
  • Hands-on experience in global M&A processes within a purpose-driven organization;

  • Exposure to strategic decision-making and cross-border transactions;

  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals;

  • A collaborative and international work environment.

800,00 Euro gross per month as remboursement and meal voucher of 8,00 Euro for each working day. 

At the end of on-boarding process 1 SW day will be allowed.
