Job Description:

The Barry-Wehmiller(BW)Future Leaders Program places interns in high-visibility roles, reporting directly to a business unit’s executive team, with responsibility for leading strategic initiatives that helpdeterminethe future ofBW. This will include owning end-to-end deliverables thatare critical to the company’s success andprepareyou to be acompanyleader.

As part of the program, each intern will be placedina Future Leaders Program track (listed below) that aligns with theirinterestsand capabilities. In your cover letter, please list your top2-3tracks,anyadditionalinformation about your interest in that track, andany long-term locational preferences.The internship will be in St. Louis, MO, with full-time opportunitiesdependent on role (pleasenote thatBWhashundredsof locationsacross the world)to bediscussedduring theinterview process

  • Strategy:Work on strategic projects in the following areas. Pleasespecifyin your coverletterwhicharea of the Strategy track you are most interested in:

  • CorporateStrategy: Lead initiatives focused on the growth of a business by assessing capabilities, growth drivers, and other strategic levers. Perform analysis to enable key factors of strategic plan (e.g.,creating new pricingmethodologies developed through data analysis and customerinsights;assessingorganic andinorganic expansion options)

  • PeopleStrategy:Leadinitiatives focused onpeople analytics, compensation and incentives,andstrategic workforce planning (e.g.,developingtalent matricesand performingmarket talent analyses)

  • TechnologyStrategy:Leadexecution ofcomplexenterprisetechnologyinitiativesthat drive business impact for the broader organization(e.g.,deployingenterpriseAIstrategies;designing oroptimizingIT business processes)

  • Marketing:Drivekeygo-to-marketapproachesbyleveragingcustomer insights,search engine optimization (SEO), AI, and more (e.g., performing market studies to define market size, potential, and entry strategy – e.g.,build vs. buy; developing a proactive marketing campaign)

  • Continuous Improvement& Supply Chain:Leadcontinuousimprovement and/orsupply chain projects (e.g., designing an updated process toimprove business outcomes;performing supply chain assessments that uncover savings opportunities)

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a 1st year student in an MBA program

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems, with a proventrack recordof success

  • Superior leadership abilities withdemonstratedbusiness acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable driving impactwhilenavigating ambiguity 

  • Strong desireto join a people-centric, caring culture

  • Willingness to work in St. Louis, MO in summer 2026. Full-time location to be discussed duringtheinterview process
