Summary of Major Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working with leaders within our organization to better understand the role of Health Economics and Outcomes Research in enhancing the value proposition of our products for patients and population-level healthcare decision makers. The goal of this internship will be to equip you with pertinent skills such as project management, desk research, or analytics, and to introduce you to potential careers in the diagnostic testing or health care industry, all while contributing to the execution of our product strategies along the cancer care continuum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Contribute to a variety of projects in support of developing the value proposition of products for organized customer groups.

  • Contribute to real world evidence research and literature reviews that could have impact on the EXAS portfolio.

  • Learn about the HEOR function, including how we work with other partners at EXAS to demonstrate the value of our screening and precision oncology products to key external stakeholders.

  • Work independently on a project that will be presented within the Medical Affairs, HEOR team.

Mandatory Skills

  • Must be highly motivated and have a strong passion for healthcare.

  • Must be available to work full-time for up to twelve consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2025.

  • Strong knowledge of SAS and have prior experience in handling retrospective databases.  

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with effective presentation skills.

  • Ability to interface and work effectively within team and department with changing priorities.

  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a third year or higher in PhD in Health Economics and Outcomes Research or a closely related area.
