AVANGRID, an innovative and growing energy company, needs a creative and ambitious college student to join our Corporate Communications team. As part of our program, you will be part of a team that works every day to promote, protect, and enhance AVANGRID’s reputation with all stakeholders internally and externally. Our team is made up of professionals who are responsible for issues management, media relations, brand building, crisis communications, employee communications and engagement, change communications, social media management, Corporate Social Responsibility, philanthropy, and communications measurement and analysis. The ideal candidate has an interest in communications, marketing or journalism. We spend a lot of time thinking about the written and spoken word, so you also are a good writer who enjoys storytelling that engages audiences.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Join and learn from a team of communications professionals working in a fast-paced environment. Our company is growing and changing fast and our team manages multiple priorities with a view across the entire business.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong writing skills and enjoys storytelling
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Education & Experience Required:

  • Currently a sophomore, junior pursuing aBachelor’s or first year in Master/MBA Degree.
  • Experience/interest in journalism, marketing, communications or public relations
  • One or more summers remaining prior to the completion of an undergraduate or master’s degree
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for future sponsorship
