The Airbus Cargo Lining & Rapid Decompression & Cargo Nets Team is a great environment for employees who are up for a challenge, always striving to do their best while continuously learning and developing. We are responsible for the cargo bay linings and cargo nets in all commercial Airbus aircraft. We develop and design based on market requirements and support the final product in the in-service business. In this way, we cover the complete lifecycle of our components within one team.
You will have the opportunity to actively influence the development and design of the cargo bay of the future. The latest manufacturing technologies and commercially available materials will play a central role. Due to our multi-program perspective, the simplification and harmonization across the boundaries of a single program is also a factor to be considered. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment. Our interfaces with Materials & Processes, Aerodynamic & Gasdynamic, Aerostructure, Manufacturing Engineering & FAL, as well as internal and external Research Centres, will open up a field of activity in many different directions.

Your tasks and responsibilities
In the role of an intern, you will be part of the Cargo Lining & Cargo Nets development team. As such, you will gain insight into our future products and their development, applying the latest standards of system and component development. In this context, you will be in direct contact with internal departments and functions, and potentially with external suppliers.
Familiarization with the world of cargo lining and nets and acquisition of the necessary basic knowledge
3D concept studies
Work on test setups to validate new developments against specified requirements
Investigation of interfaces
Investigation of new usable materials and manufacturing technologies
Desired skills and qualifications
University degree in engineering
Basic knowledge of materials science
Project management skills
Good process understanding and a good basic understanding of the complex interrelationships of an aircraft component
Motivation to explore new technologies
Basic knowledge of lightweight construction
Business English and good German language skills
You are a self-organized "doer," a team player, open-minded, and curious
