We are currently looking for a Field Quality Assurance Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. The position will be a full-time role for the summer of 2026.

A Day in the Life:   

  • Identify and investigate engineering issues potentially impacting safety and/or regulatory compliance by analyzing cross functional data sources with Product Safety, Technical Compliance, and Field Quality Investigations.
  • Investigate incidents with data analysis, part collection and testing, or vehicle-level incident investigation (on-site or scramble to customer location).
  • Support handover of complete investigations to the Vital Issues team for TM/TC process
  • Report investigation status weekly to FQA management.
  • Regular collaboration with cross functional groups for issue investigation including but not limited to R&D, FQI, PQE, NML, CQ0 and CC0.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in automotive, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)          
  • Up to 20% local travel
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Field Quality Center, Smyrna, TN.
