Overview of BU/Team:

GREWE is the Real State area of AMEX,managing the physical spaces AMEX needs to operate-mainly offices. The goal is to ensure these spaces support the company’s growth, culture, and employee experience. GREWE plan and manage office locations and space needs, oversee renovations, openings, and relocations, support hybrid work and optimize space usage, coordinate services (cleaning, maintenance, etc.) and overall improve the employee experience through design and technology. GREWE also ensures sustainability and legal compliance.

The intern will:

As part of GREWE Real Estate team, the intern will learn to provide direct support to the Real Estate Business Partners, helping bridge the organization with different business lines to ensure an optimal employee workplace experience. The main responsibilities include:

1. Develop skills in Data Analysis and Decision Making

  • Collecting, analysing, and visualizing data related to space occupancy, projected growth, and workspace efficiency.
  • Contributing to feasibility studies and research for potential expansions or new office spaces.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports for senior management and other stakeholders.

2. Real Estate Project Management Support

  • Gain experience in tracking office refurbishment, expansion, and opening projects, in coordination with design and construction teams.
  • Familiarise with the planning and monitoring of project milestones, including temporary workspace solutions and delay management (e.g. Point of Arrival shifts).
  • Acquire experience in logistical and administrative assistance during office transitions and relocations.

3. Digital Transformation & Colleague Experience

  • Participating, along the team, in digital initiatives that enhance the everyday office experience (e.g. new tools, systems, or services).
  • Learn to identifies continuous improvement opportunities based on colleague feedback.

4. Communication & Change Management

  • Supporting, along the team, the creation of internal presentations and communications regarding project updates and key milestones.
  • Acquire experience in tailoring messages to executive leadership and broader Colleague audiences.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Learn to act as a liaison between GREWE and other departments (CEG, IT, Global security, Compliance, Legal) on shared initiatives.
  • Gain experience in Following up on internal stakeholder requests and feedback to ensure timely and effective responses.

Desirable Qualifications/Skills and Experience/Language Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – B2 level or higher.
  • Spanish fluency is also required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
  • Interest in workplace transformation, real estate, and colleague experience topics.

Hours: 35 hours per week 

For Recent Graduate Students:

Alongside your internship you will be enrolled on programme coordinated by Fundación Universidad Empresa (FUE). This programme will allow students to focus on productivity, adaptive management and innovation, to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, collaborating directly on the management and optimization of commercial processes. The student will develop essential skills in project management, data analysis, and negotiation, which are critical for future integration into the labor market.

Toenroll the programme, the candidate must have completed the degree or due to submit the final degree project, or the final degree project plus 9 ECTS max.
