Summer Internship – Junior Business Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Junior Business Analyst Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience working cross-functionally with Software Development, QA, Accounting, and Analytics teams. You’ll assist in monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, generating reports, and supporting business-critical projects.
This internship is ideal for students or early-career professionals looking to develop their analytical, technical, and business communication skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in writing and running SQL queries to debug issues and generate reports.
- Help troubleshoot and reproduce bugs based on internal and client feedback.
- Support the creation and maintenance of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Software Requirement Documents (SRDs).
- Learn the company’s data catalog and use it to support analysis and reporting needs.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and help translate them for developer implementation.
- Analyze data scenarios to identify patterns, summarize key findings, and assess potential business impacts.
- Assist in monitoring database performance and flagging potential issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify opportunities for performance optimization.
Preferred Skills & Interests
- Basic knowledge of SQL (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, WHERE statements).
- Familiarity with relational database concepts; exposure to NoSQL platforms a plus.
- Interest in data analysis, business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau), or ETL processes.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Availability
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Available to work 15–20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.

Qualifications
