Data Engineer – Co-Op

This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to our team as a Data Engineer intern within State Street’s Enterprise Data Architecture and Data Lake team. Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients. What You Will Do:    

• Assist in the design and development of Cloud Data Lake solutions, including data ingestion, modeling, and distribution. 

• Support the integration of data between on-premises and cloud-based systems. 

• Help develop and test data ingestion components to collect data from various sources. 

• Utilize standard tools in cloud data lake development and deployment with mentorship from the team. 

• Contribute to the implementation of cloud infrastructure to meet current and future business needs. 

• Participate in technical design discussions, application builds, configuration, unit testing, and deployment tasks as assigned.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:  

Candidates should be:  

• Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation 

• Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic, technology-driven organization 

• Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment 

• Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement 

• Motivated by real-world problem solving and eager to contribute innovative ideas 

Certification nice to have:  

• Cloud fundamentals 

• Database structures

Salary Range:

$41,600 - $65,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
