Chemist Internship

Job Description

Our Ballydine site is involved in the R&D of new Drug Substances and new Drug Products in advance laboratories. This is in conjunction with providing technical support to commercial production of market products.

The Summer Internship Chemist will be assigned to projects associated with new products, existing commercial products and business systems. 

• The work will involve the development of synthetic routes at laboratory scale to address processing challenges, quality issues, technical investigations, one off synthesis of reference standard compounds and process optimisation of yields.
• This chemistry work involves working in dedicated teams of Chemists and Engineers.
• The work will provide an opportunity to work with new technologies in the laboratories, advanced analytical instruments, analysis of results and presentation of same to their product team.
• Training will be provided for working in the laboratories and on the assigned projects.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• A strong interest in learning about pharmaceutical manufacturing and engineering.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude—ready to work as part of a supportive team.
