BMW Group Financial Services, Farnborough – Information Security Internship – 13-Month Placement (July 2026)
Throughout your placement you will support the information security team to protect our data and assets to maintain trust in BMW Financial Services. You will be expected to help deliver successful outcomes and experience how we manage our information security risk.
What awaits you?
- You will support in developing information security awareness programme.
- You will support in analysing and assess potential security risks.
- Promote the implementation of security policies and procedure.
- Develop plans to deal with security incidents by putting measures in place.
- Prepare KPI’s reports to support our strategy.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security risks are mitigated.
What should you bring along?
- To be eligible, you’ll be in your penultimate year at university and on course for a 2:1 degree in a Cyber Security or IT Degree with a Cyber Component. Studying a degree in Computer Science, IT or related course and on track to achieve a 2:2.
- Logical thinking, eager to expand knowledge and take a creative approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
- Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions Comfortable with end user communication.
