Your Impact

As a Strategic Sourcing Intern, you’ll play a key role in supporting enterprise-wide procurement initiatives that drive cost savings, value creation, and supplier innovation. Working closely with sourcing managers and category leads, you’ll assist in executing sourcing strategies, analyzing supplier performance, and contributing to negotiations that directly impact Lowe’s bottom line.

The Strategic Sourcing team acts as a trusted partner to business units across the organization, focusing on building strong supplier relationships, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. In this internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in data analysis, contract evaluation, and procurement tools that power strategic decision-making in a Fortune 50 company.

You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

Do Your Best Work in Mooresville

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

  • Spend Analysis and Supplier Profile
  • Sourcing Project Plan
  • Execution of sourcing event in iSource or CSO
  • Contract Execution
  • Savings Validation
  • Final presentation of project with business recommendations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing or Procurement
  • Expected graduation date of May 2027
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (specifically in Power Point, Excel and data analysis tools)
  • Communication skills must be comfortable speaking with to a variety of people.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Financial acumen must be able to work with numbers and easily discuss
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, problem solving, analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills are required
  • Relevant internship and/or experience in with project management, supply chain, finance, sourcing or procurement is a plus
  • Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
