MINI Plant, Oxford – Environmental and Security Intern - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)

We are looking for an internship to join the team for 13 months, starting 01/07/2026. You will assist two teams the environment team and the security team to install digital systems that improve our resilience and data handling.

What awaits you?

• Enhancing your understanding of environmental legislation in the manufacturing context.
• Awareness of environmental topics, strategies for improvement and monitoring performance of key environmental topics.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to gather data and produce reports for compliance reporting.
• Developing active communication initiatives to enhance the environmental awareness of all employees.
• Awareness of security topics and the interfaces to the wider business.
• Interpreting security data, identification of risks and deploying countermeasures to reduce business impact.

Qualifications and experience

• Studying towards a relevant course in the environmental field or business related degree and on course to achieve a 2:1 or above. Work experience can be particularly useful in areas such as: administration, building, business, construction, and engineering.
• Excellent data handling and a structured approach to information management.
• Teamwork skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.
• Confident decision making and presenter.
• Time management and project management skills
• IT skills preferred, particularly with experience of the MS Suite.
• A practical, flexible and innovative approach to work with an ability to prioritise workload.
• A full driving license may be required, if travelling between sites.

What do you need to do now?

Eligibility:

• Returning to studies for at least 6 months after the placement.
• Proof of legal right to work in the UK.
