The NBCUniversal Internship Program allows students to unlock their potential by contributing to big projects in meaningful ways that matter. To thrive as an NBCU intern, you are ready to bring your passion for media, entertainment, and technology along with your desire to learn each day.
In addition to all of our internships being paid, we will also offer the following for our Summer 2026 interns:

- Access to mental health resources including counseling sessions.
- Financial assistance to offset expenses for transportation and housing may be available on a needs-based basis for eligible in-person interns. More details about eligibility for this assistance will be provided at the time of offer.
- At our Universal City office interns will have access to the NBCUCommutes program, which provides fully subsidized transit passes to full-time lower lot employees, good for unlimited rides on all Metro bus and rail, such as the Metro Red Line.
Summer 2026 Recruitment Timeline:
November 10 – December 5: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)
Mid November – Late December: First round video interviews
Mid – Late January: Second round interviews
Late January – February: Selected candidates receive offers
Summer 2026 Internship Program:

- Program Dates: June 1 – August 7, 2026
- Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
- Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY.

- Peacock Audience Development: The Audience Development Team plays a crucial role in shaping how our audience experiences Peacock and our TV Everywhere Apps by delivering powerful campaigns that highlight the best of what Peacock has to offer. The team strategizes & experiments to determine the best on platform experience for the wide range of users visiting Peacock each day.
- Growth, Strategic & Development: Strategic Growth & Development oversees monetization and innovation strategy for NBCUniversal’s Growth businesses, namely Peacock. Initiatives led by SG&D are highly cross-functional, meaning an intern will get exposure to many parts of the business including Product, Marketing, Decision Sciences, Media Group Strategy, and more.
- Peacock Product Marketing Strategy: The Peacock Product Marketing Strategy team’s mission is to deliver full-funnel strategies that drive subscription and product feature adoption across core audiences, while optimizing the user journey on and off platform with consistent messaging and design. We partner closely with Product Management, Brand Marketing, Consumer Insights, Creative, Operations, and more to bring these strategies to life.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
- IN-PERSON Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.
Desired Characteristics:
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Knowledge of and interest in the streaming entertainment space, including trends and new technologies.
- Experience creating compelling presentations and briefs.
- A curiosity for the intersection of product and marketing, and what it means to bring product features to market.
- Prior experience in product management or marketing strategy is a plus.
- Experience or interest in any of the following: social media marketing, asset operations, media planning, project management, data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or similar advertising platforms is a plus.
The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $19.00.
The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $25.00
The hourly rate for MBA student intern is $35.00
