Hybrid internship requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

About the Role:

Our Wealth Planning interns gain real-world, meaningful work experience, are treated as valuable team members and have the ability to directly contribute to the work of Baird’s geographically diverse Wealth Planning team. Interns apply knowledge gained in the classroom to develop relevant professional experience while creating meaningful relationships within the team and across our Private Wealth Management business. Interns obtain first-hand experience with the daily work our Wealth Planning professionals as they provide holistic wealth planning support to Baird’s Financial Advisors across the country.

This is a hybrid internship, working 3 days per week in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office and 2 days remote. The intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week. We are seeking a student who can start in May 2026.

The Impact You’ll Make:

  • Support the Wealth Planning team in plan construction and presentation of analyses to relevant parties

  • Execute BairdWeb content review and conduct necessary enhancements to Baird’s internal site as applicable

  • Provide general processes support and management of the team’s workflow queue

  • Gain exposure to Baird’s Wealth Planning Team processes, structure, and expertise and insight into how they are leveraged to support Baird’s Financial Advisory teams nationwide

  • Engage with each member of the Wealth Planning Team for continued career exploration and professional development

  • Build relationships with other members of Baird’s broader Wealth Solutions Group

  • Ability to complete the SIE exam

  • Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring to Baird:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related degree with a track record of academic excellence

  • Anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later

  • Interest in the field of finance or personal finance 

  • Experience with various technical applications including Excel and other data-driven systems, such as MoneyGuidePro or other planning tools and softwares

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well in a team setting
