The Job:
In this role, you’ll work alongside our experienced technicians to learn the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our fleet of trucks and heavy-duty equipment. You’ll gain hands-on experience and training to help ensure our vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community each day.
What You’ll Do
Assist in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel, CNG, gas, and electric trucks, as well as related heavy-duty equipment
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findings
Complete work orders, order parts, and track repairs in M5 planner under supervision
Use power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and complete repairs
Work both independently and as part of a supportive team of technicians
Participate in training and mentorship opportunities to grow your skills and progress towards certification
What You Bring
Current enrollment as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice (minimum Level 1 or higher)
Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
Ability to read and follow repair manuals, work orders, and safety procedures
Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs., kneel, crawl, and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes)
Commitment to safety and teamwork
