About the RoleEvercore's Dubai office provides investment banking advisory services across the Middle East, working with sovereign wealth funds, government-owned enterprises, and leading private and public companies. The team operates with a generalist approach, providing exposure across a broad range of sectors and advisory products while working closely with Evercore's industry and product specialists globally. Assignments include mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, capital structure advisory, and other strategic corporate finance transactions.The Evercore Off-Cycle Analyst Programme is a six-month internship commencing in October, designed to provide highly motivated individuals with hands-on experience comparable to that of a full-time investment banking analyst. Off-Cycle Analysts are expected to handle multiple projects simultaneously and exhibit a strong motivation to learn and work diligently.Off-Cycle Analysts will work on a variety of assignments including private and public M&A, capital raising and capital structure mandates as well as client pitching. Primary day-to-day tasks to include:Analysis of company operationsAnalysis and benchmarking of sector trends and positioningReview of company accounts, profit & loss and cash flow informationSupport on financial modellingPreparation of client presentationsCompany researchLiaising with other teams in Evercore’s global networkThe off-cycle candidate will need to demonstrate:A strong interest in and understanding of corporate financeSound problem-solving skillsProject management skillsIndependence, confidence and self-motivationAbility to multitask and work on multiple assignments in parallelSpecific QualificationsUndergraduate degree or higher (Management or Finance preferred)Enthusiastic, outgoing and achievement-oriented characterStrong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to articulate ideas, both written and oralAdvanced Microsoft Office and other common investment banking application skills (e.g. Factset, Bloomberg)Native-level proficiency in Arabic (reading, writing and verbal communication) and fluent English are requiredPrior investment banking experience will be valued but is not a pre-requisite This opportunity is closed to applications.
