Education/Requirements:
Must be enrolled in an accredited university at Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
Basic understanding of manufacturing principles, systems, and equipment.
Communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with engineers, production staff, and suppliers.
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to production
Salary Range:
The base pay range for this position in California is $25 - $28/hr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The manufacturing engineering intern assists engineers in designing, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes while gaining hands-on experience in a production environment. In this role you will assist in:
- Collaboration with senior engineers to gain hands on experience and mentorship
- Assist with completing/assessing Boeing's PCDs
- Test bolt BOM clean-up to drive accurate test bold demand and maintain appropriate min-max levels at all times
- Review processes/procedures in 3V to ensure correct flow through de-oil process
- Support Moeller's equipment/product move to SMA Mexico
- Support other critical areas as assigned by senior engineer or engineering manager
