Cummins is looking to add an Apprentice-Engine workshop technician to its team in Calgary, AB.
In this role, you will assist with general workshop activities while completing on the job and classroom based training.
In this role, you will have the following impacts:
- Assist in cleaning, inspecting, disassembling and other basic workshop activities.
- Learns Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follows documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenance.
- Assists with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation and time sheets via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

In order to succeed in this role, you will need the following :
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Apprenticeship ongoing (Heavy duty mechanics or Truck and transports).
- Valid local driver's license.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Minimal level of work shop experience required or basic level knowledge of engine products.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- The successful candidate must be able to travel to the United States on occasion.
- May be required to go on the road and assist technicians.
Compensation and Benefits
