Cybersecurity –Intern

EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Cybersecurity team is at the forefront of addressing the increasing risks and complexities in cybersecurity and privacy. As we continue to grow, we are offering 4-6 months of technical internship for individuals passionate about developing their skills in the cybersecurity landscape.

As a Cybersecurity intern with EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS) Cybersecurity team, you will play a supportive role in our client engagements, gaining hands-on experience in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats and incidents. This position is designed to help you apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting, fostering growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.

This entry-level position is ideal for final year graduates looking to pursue a career in cybersecurity and develop skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong understanding of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking technologies, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Interest in developing scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to handling sensitive information responsibly
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Should have secured >80% academic score with no backlog
  • Availability to commit to a full-time internship for the duration of 4-6 months, with flexibility to support after-hours work as needed

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit
  • Previous internship, project experience, or industry certifications are a plus but not mandatory
