Job Description
We are currently seeking a co-op student to join our Workday HRIS team. We are live in the following HR modules in Workday: HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, Recruitment and Learning. As a member of the HRIS team, this position will play a key role in the administration and coordination of day-to-day Human Resources processes and activities in Workday and may be involved in system enhancement/project work as well.
When you join us, you will:
- Conduct routine transactions in Workday for employee related transactions/processes such as new hires, job changes, terminations, etc.
- Conduct position updates within Workday to maintain the assignment of organizational data
- Assist with managing the Workday Support inbox/queue and responding to questions/concerns and complete routine updates to maintain structure as required
- Assist with maintaining the integrity and reliability of the system by conducting data audits as required for areas such as security roles, cost centers, reporting structures, etc.
- Support with maintaining documentation in Workday
- Maintain the job aid library for Workday
- Identify and assist with implementing process improvements within Workday with a continuous improvement and efficiency mindset
- Assist with projects/system enhancements which may include work such as introducing new system functionality, redesigning configuration, redesigning business processes, semi-annual Workday release preparation, etc.
- Run regular and ad-hoc reports as required/requested
- Other duties as assigned
Our ideal candidate would be:
- Working towards a post-secondary program in the field of Business, Commerce, Human Resources Management or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn
- Highly organized, able to juggle competing priorities and adopt a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Knowledge/experience with Workday would be considered an asset, but not required
