Job description Quality Engineer Intern

Support the testing of advanced technology online solutions that are high-quality, innovative and efficient, to comply with all standards and best practices in support of business and Client outcomes and objectives. Work independently and apply test engineering skills, tools, practices, and techniques to all deliverables. Understanding of the basic core test engineering concepts such as development, testing, source control, security, performance, data, Dev SecOps, system administration, agile methodologies, and focused on learning more about these domains. Ability to focus on task at hand, follow-through on prescribed plan with ability to be flexible and think under pressure. Highly motivated team player with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve.

Qualifications

  • Third Level Course or similar relevant experience
  • Self-Learning or demonstrate other qualifications/accreditations       
  • Experience an advantage but not an absolute requirement

Responsibilities

  • Testing the design and development of modern internet applications using the latest front-end technologies.
  • Potential to assist in the development of automation scripts and contribute to the maintenance of smoke tests using a JavaScript Framework such as Cypress or low code application such as TOSCA.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and test existing systems
  • Document and maintain testing artefacts
  • Communicate daily progress with your team and participate in any agile ceremonies
  • This is a position that requires a significant amount of time sitting in front of a computer screen writing and reading design specifications and code.
