You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and operators in operations, maintenance, materials, and engineering to learn how we maintain and improve our processes, and to develop hands-on skills in process capability analysis and improvement. This role will be a fulltime summer internship (10-12 weeks) based at our Indianapolis Exits facility. This opportunity will offer a competitive hourly rate plus a potential housing stipend, and a flexible start date between May and June ending in August.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Gather and organize process data (bath chemistry, line speed, quality metrics) for team review
Support root-cause investigations for out-of-spec conditions under guidance of senior engineers

Present findings and recommendations at intern roundtables or team meetings
What You Need to Succeed:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn process-control software
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter attitude; able to manage multiple small tasks under supervision
What You’ll Gain:
Hands-on experience with industrial finishing processes and plant operations
Exposure to quality systems, statistical process control (SPC), and basic data analysis tools
