Location: North Vancouver, BC - This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office, and is open to hybrid remote work
Work Arrangement: Flexible, between in-office and home
Pay Range: $44,700-$55,100; individual pay is determined by factors such as program of study, year of study, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
Duration: Eight (8) months, January 9, 2026 – August 14, 2026
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week, M-F
Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Software Engineer Co-Op you develop, deploy, analyze, utilize, and maintain software, tools, applications, and information systems to meet the business requirements of the company in a demanding global marketplace. Your focus in this role is on web applications development for the customer facing Ecommerce websites. You have a track record of delivering projects as part of an agile team. You work with senior developers and web architects to design and understand project architectures.
What is the purpose of the role in the context of the broader department and the business as a whole?
The purpose of our team to create connections with our guests by delivering personalized, engaging experiences that inspire brand loyalty. Through cutting-edge technology we optimize product discovery and user education to enhance the end-to-end shopping e-Commerce experience, from initial engagement to conversion.
What are the challenges they will need to work through in their time with us?
You’ll work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment—collaborating with Brand, UX, and Digital Content teams to deliver a new homepage experience. The challenge lies in aligning diverse inputs, maintaining a bi-weekly release cadence, and continuously optimizing through A/B testing to ensure data-driven improvements in customer engagement and conversion.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Agile methodologies while deepening your expertise in TypeScript and ReactJS through code reviews and one-on-one mentorship from senior engineers. You’ll also tackle real-world data modeling challenges within our CMS, building a strong foundation in scalable architecture and content-driven design.

you'll have a solid understanding of agile methodology.

The Discover & Engage Business Technology Team helps to build and maintain the arcteryx.com and outlet.arcteryx.com. We work with cross-functional agile teams to build and roll out new features, fix bugs and create an amazing online experience for our guests.
If you were the Software Engineer Co-Op now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Developing, maintaining, supporting, and extending web and web services applications across a range of technology stacks
- Following existing DevOps practices, including peer code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration & continuous deployment setup
- Providinghigh levels of service to a diverse user base and team members alike by delivering strong, effective solutions and communicating clearly
- Executing special project work as part of an Agile team
- Contributing to a team development effort by documenting your code, contributing to style guides, and working in close coordination with various team associates

- Gain experience working in a dynamic, agile envrionrmentalgonside Brand, UX, and Digital Content teams, learning how to align diverse perspetives and deliver cohesive user experiences
- Learn how software development contributes to the broader goals of the e-Commerce team and the business—specifically how personalized, engaging digital experiences drive brand loyalty and customer conversion
- Deepen proficiency in ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, while applying best practices in DevOps, including peer code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
- Tackle real-world challenges such as aligning stakeholder inputs, maintaining a bi-weekly release cadence, and using A/B testing to drive data-informed improvements in user engagement.
Are you our next Software Engineer Co-Op?
- You are currently enrolled in a Software, Computer Science, or Engineer program
- You have some exposure to JavaSciprt, TypeScript and ReactJS
- You have proven interest in cloud technologies
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
