Geotab is seeking a Compliance & Mobility intern as part of the Compliance and Mobility team who will immediately contribute to the organization and the People Operation team efforts. What you'll do:
As a Compliance & Mobility Intern, your key area of responsibility will be supporting and driving Geotab’s People Operations department with various Compliance & Mobility initiatives. This role assists in ensuring adherence to legal requirements across various regions by collaborating with various stakeholders. Understanding the various business requirements is key to assist our departments with growth and development. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, motivated, and a dependable team player. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion with regard to all matters.
The opportunity:
- 8-month work-term, beginning January 2026.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:
- Serve as a contact for internal teams on compliance and mobility questions.
- Assist in creating program related supporting documents as required.
- Help manage our global mobility program for employee relocations and transfers.
- Track and report on employee-related legal changes (immigration, tax, labor laws).
- Monitor visa expiration dates and work permit deadlines.
- Audit and organize documents for internal and external audits.
- Help maintain and update HR compliance policies and documents.
- Track and audit mandatory training records to ensure everyone is up to date.
- Assist with the US I-9 process and e-verify program compliance.
- Conduct research and collect data for compliance projects.
- Assist with other HR projects/tasks as assigned.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Completing a University degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
- Passion for technology, innovation, talent acquisition and human resources.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time.
- Familiarity with Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides) is an asset.
- Prior experience in employment law or HR is an asset.
