Position Overview:

We are seeking one Financial Services Intern to support Brunswick Product Protection operations. This role is responsible for administering extended service contracts using proprietary technology. We are looking for a candidate who is professional, organized, and a strong communicator. This position will be based in our corporate headquarters in Mettawa, IL.

Essential Functions: 

  • Processing extended service contract originations, transfers, cancellations
  • Maintaining appropriate controls per company policy to ensure data integrity
  • Answering basic requests via phone calls and emails
  • Assisting in processing Excel files from our partners
  • Updating customer files
  • Auditing booklet libraries for accuracy and building new booklets in the system
  • This internship will be a full-time commitment from May to August 2026

Internship Projects to include:

  • Understand how limited and extended warranties work
  • Administer different programs
  • Provide customer service
  • Work on ad hoc projects to be determined
  • Write a final report impacting business strategy and present to a larger group

Required Qualifications:

  • Rising Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business or business-related field
  • Basic experience using Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) and Adobe PDF
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Prior work experience in a professional environment
  • Finance and insurance and/or Boating experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Candidate is local to Mettawa, IL area

Working Conditions:

  • This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office at the Brunswick corporate headquarters in Mettawa, IL).
  • Learning Opportunities: Our Student Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional setting. You will work alongside experienced professionals and get a chance to apply your academic knowledge to real-world tasks. 
  • Project Work: The work environment is supportive, collaborative, and conducive to learning. Student co-ops or interns typically work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organization’s goals. This may range from supporting larger projects to handling smaller, individual assignments.  
  • Hours: Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work week
  • Feedback and Performance Reviews: As a co-op or intern, you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement. 

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00 per hour.  The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. 

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
