Hybrid position requiring some in-office presence.
The Data Scientist Intern will join our Advanced Analytics team, contributing to high-impact projects that support sales and marketing leadership. This opportunity allows you to apply machine learning and AI to real business problems such as customer segmentation, product recommendations, and placement probability predictions. As part of a visible and dynamic team, you’ll not only strengthen your technical and analytical skills, but also gain experience translating insights into business strategy while contributing to our mission of delivering data-driven solutions.
Position Responsibilities
Actively participate in the development of AI and ML enabled solutions to improve business processes, generate insights, and support business goals.
Generate relevant, actionable insights through iterative data analysis, translating outputs into business language and recommendations.
Provide analysis on large, complex datasets.
Share information and explain ideas to non-technical stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Build strong working relationships across functions and establish an internal network.
Take ownership of career development by leveraging available resources to advance technical and business skills.
Learn how assigned tasks contribute to broader team initiatives.
Ensure all analytics work adheres to the highest ethical standards.
Stay up to date with new developments in AI, machine learning, and alternative data sources.
Required Qualifications
Working towards a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Previous internship experience preferred; exceptional first-time interns with strong academic records and/or research experience encouraged to apply.
Experience programming in Python and SQL.
Ability to engage in the data science process, including exploration, modeling, training, validation, and deployment.
Ability to work with complex datasets and a foundation in statistics and related technical areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship experience in analytics or data science.
Knowledge of software development best practices (e.g., Git, DevOps, Agile).
Familiarity with relational database models (e.g., data vaulting techniques, rules tables).
Strong communication skills with ability to translate data insights into business terms.
Curious, self-starter, and lifelong learner with a passion for unlocking business value.
