This position is for an Electrical and Electronics intern in the Avionics Test Engineering team in Melbourne Florida. The Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering organization responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international. This role is onsite, in Melbourne, Florida. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

• You will gain knowledge about designing electrical equipment, products, and systems. 
• You will complete drawing designs as required, operates engineering software and equipment, and confers with stakeholders regarding engineering projects. 
• You will perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met. 
• You will develop new test solutions to support the Collins Production environment, which tests new avionics products both functionally and environmentally.
• You will design, analyze, test, integrate, and document hardware of moderate complexity. 
• You will work closely with other engineering disciplines (i.e., mechanical, software and systems engineering) to ensure the electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach.

• You will learn to troubleshoot technical and electrical device problems.
• You will learn to operate engineering software and equipment.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders regarding engineering projects.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Basic hardware design skills (schematic capture and PCB layout).
• Some programming experience (C, C++, C#, LabView, Test Stand).

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
