Join GeoComply's elite Fraud and Risk Management (FARM) Team and become a front-line investigator protecting the world's largest digital businesses from sophisticated fraud.
This is not a back-office data analysis role; you will be directly involved in client-facing fraud investigations, mitigating risk in high-growth markets like Brazil, and leveraging AI tools (like Databricks Genie) to create scalable detection rules. Your work will provide a unique competitive advantage to our clients, significantly reducing their financial losses and ensuring GeoComply remains the best-in-class geolocation security provider.
What Will You Be Doing
- Monitoring clients' transactions, identifying, recording, and reporting suspicious activity, investigating fraudulent transactions for external clients
 - Support Client Onboarding: Assist with fraud and risk discovery calls and tool training for new markets and partners (Ability to speak Portuguese or Asian-based languages a plus!).
 - Liaising with large enterprise digital businesses to assist them in identifying and solving real-time fraud challenges.
 - Support senior team members with fraud investigations, key accounts, and long-term product strategies.
 - Manage Existing Accounts: Analyze user analytics reports and dashboards to determine patterns and threat vectors, which we then provide to customers to fight potential fraud.
 - Identifying problems relating to anti-fraud and AML/ CFT risks for clients within their reports and programs and creating meaningful improvements
 - Contribute to Risk Prevention: Collaborate with GeoComply teams to identify emerging fraud patterns and recommend mitigation steps through behavioral pattern detection.
 - Embrace Stretch Opportunities (The Fun Part!): As a GeoComply intern, expect to be pushed. You’ll occasionally be given special, high-value projects outside the immediate scope of your role, a chance to explore new roles, test your limits, and adapt to new challenges across the business.

About You
- Degree or Certification: Some sort of higher education in progress or recently completed. We’re not too picky about your educational background or previous experience, at GeoComply we believe that as long as you maintain the curiosity and drive to learn what’s needed, you’ll succeed here.
 - Genuine Interest: An interest in data and the mechanics of fraud mitigation, moving beyond a simple desire for data analysis to a willingness to contribute to projects beyond the core role
 - Puzzle Solver. You’re a problem solver at your core, you’d enjoy developing a deeper understanding of customers' technical environments, challenges, and fraud needs, and working with them to ensure we meet their needs.
 - Support Focused: You are capable of troubleshooting, and providing direct customer support for fraud issues
 - Growth Mindset: You actively seek mentorship, feedback, and are defined by your eagerness to master new tools and pivot when the business calls for it.
 - Proficient: No hard skills needed, we can train you in any of our tools! The ability to quickly get up to speed with a new process or tool will be a bigger asset than experience in a specific domain.
 - High level technical skills. Whatever you need for the role technically can be taught!
 - Specific experience in fraud analysis. Our team will be there to help you get up to speed!

You DON’T need
What's in it for you?
- Direct Mentorship: You will work directly under fraud analysts and risk managers from many different backgrounds such as law enforcement, data science, and compliance.
 - Training and Skill Development: Develop practical, in-demand technical skills in query development, data retrieval, and using AI tools like Databricks Genie in a real-world production environment.
 - Cross-Functional Networking: Interact with people across various roles and teams, including Product, Data Science, and Client Services, accelerating your understanding of the business ecosystem.
 - Career Exploration: This role will give you exposure to all aspects of product, business development and anti-fraud, great for someone who is interested in breadth over depth professionally.
 - By the end of your internship, you will be equipped to interact with clients individually and manage your own fraud investigations.

Bonus Points
- Multi-lingual proficiency (especially Portuguese or Asian-based languages) is a plus, given the focus on international markets.
 - Experience working with Kibana or other data presentation programs
