F&B Intern

Job Description

The Food & Beverage Intern plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurants, bars, and events. This internship provides hands-on experience in service delivery, guest interaction, and operational excellence within a luxury hospitality environment. The intern will gain valuable exposure to Fairmont’s brand standards, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outlet Manager or F&B Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist in the setup and preparation of service areas before each shift.
• Greet and seat guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
• Support the service team in taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
• Learn and adhere to Fairmont’s service standards and F&B policies.
• Ensure tables are properly set, and supplies are replenished as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen and stewarding teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Assist in handling guest feedback promptly and professionally.
• Participate in departmental briefings, trainings, and team meetings.
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support special events, banquets, or promotions as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Strong passion for food, beverage, and guest service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic, positive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Previous internship or service experience in hospitality is an advantage but not required.
