Mechatronics Engineering Internship

Job Description

The Role Mechatronics Intern in Drive Unit will have extensive hands-on experience in all facets of maintenance.
We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented intern to be responsible of improvements in overall equipment efficiency, product yield, cost, and cycle time to ensure continuous production and enable world-class manufacturing of Tesla’s cutting-edge Drive Units. 

Job Responsibilities

• Support on the implementation of the maintenance strategy of equipment and machinery.
• Interface between maintenance and Process engineering to improve the focus of the maintenance plans related to the quality of the product. 
• Be creative on data analysis solutions for predictive maintenance.
• Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults related to autonomous maintenance at operation level. 
• Support in planning of special maintenance activities and corrective repairs.
• Oversee and control maintenance costs, cost benefit analysis. 
• Control of machines documentation such as drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Support the supervisors on planning qualification for the team. 
• Work in cross functional teams on methods to improve maintenance organizational and technical
• Support the improvement of preventative maintenance procedures and processes

Job Requirements

• Ongoing or finishing studies in Mechanic or Mechatronics Engineering 
• Good English and fluent German skills in speaking and writing is mandatory. 
• Customer service-oriented mindset
• Proficient skills in communication verbal and written. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs 
• Work in cross functional team
