Program Dates: January 12, 2026 – June 26, 2026
Position Summary
This role will support our Test Engineering Team at Abiomed – A JnJ MedTech company. As a Test Engineer, the individual will conduct engineering tests, analyze and document test data, and design and implement test improvements and fixturing. A candidate for this position should be driven by our patient-centric mission and will have the unique opportunity to engage across multiple innovative Abiomed product lines.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop engineering tests as well as document test protocols and reports
Conduct engineering tests for product development and quality engineering projects
Design and qualify engineering test fixtures
Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing, quality, and equipment design
Minimum Requirements
Available January 12, 2026 – June 26, 2026
Student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
Strong testing, analytical, and engineering problem-solving skills
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and also collaborate cross-functionally
Knowledge or experience with general engineering lab equipment (Instron, Keyence Microscope, 3D printer, multimeter, etc)
Experience with SolidWorks preferred
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
23$ per hour to 51.50$ per hourAdditional Description for Pay Transparency:
The anticipated base pay for this position is between 23$ per hour and 51.50$ per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
