The base pay for this position is $23 per hour.
This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation (Monday - Thursday) with 1 day remote (Friday).

Who We Are: Wayfair’s Physical Retail team is seeking a Visual Merchandising Co-op to support scaling our flagship brand’s stores across North America. This role is an integral part of the Wayfair Visual Presentation Team, which develops and implements in-store presentations for seasonal floorsets, department refreshes, and new store openings. Our team’s work includes creating concepts, physical and virtual presentation builds, operationalizing those presentations via Planogram, and creating store-facing Floorset Directives. As our retail store fleet grows, this role will coordinate an increasing number of assets for Wayfair Stores.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage, update, & evolve our Wayfair Store Prototype documentation and SketchUp files as additional stores are added to our fleet.
- Audit Floorset Directives to ensure all fixtures in all store prototypes are accounted for while also confirming quality of design and consistency in communication style across all documents.
- Support team with presentation builds, Photoshopping, & document creation as-needed.
- Produce work that resonates with our teams, follows our Visual Merchandising guidelines, and continues to raise the bar for our brand.
- Engage in creative conversations with peers and partners, embracing new ideas and approaches, while contributing thought-partnership to the team.
- Adhere to timeline and process while leading visual reviews with cross-functional partners and visual leadership for sign-off.
- Keep abreast of industry and market trends that will inform presentations and keep Wayfair competitive and relevant in the ever-evolving retail landscape.
What You’ll Need:
Basic Qualifications:
- A student pursuing an undergraduate degree graduating between December 2026 - May 2029 with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
- Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the Co-op
- Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 5 to June 19, 2026 in our Boston office
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future. Visa sponsorship includes the following work visas: STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.
- Ability to commute to Taunton, MA, for physical builds at our Retail Lab with the potential to travel to new store openings (travel is reimbursable following Wayfair’s corporate expense policies).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Physical Retail experience in-store, preferably with Home categories.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and G-suite software.
- Demonstrated ability to support important strategic initiatives and multi-task.
- Be an active contributor, an organized team player, and produce high-quality work when time is tight and stakes are high.
- Strong comfort level and appetite to use AI in daily workflow
- Thrives in a high growth, ambiguous environment.
