CME Group is currently looking for a Security Education and Awareness Intern for summer 2026.

This candidate will assist the Security Education and Awareness team on day-to-day activities in support of sharing security best practices across CME Group.An ideal candidate will support various aspects of the Global Information Security Education & Awareness team including, social engineering program, security awareness training exception process, internally created training content and procedure document review/updates.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Gather monthly metrics for simulated phishing campaigns
  • Track trends in phishing metrics
  • Learn functionality of training platform and build out a quarterly secure code training course
  • Review and Analyze Vendor Training Content for Role-Based Training opportunities


Skills / Software Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a college/university degree in computer science, privacy, cybersecurity, international relations, intelligence studies, political science, security studies, human resources, business administration, or another related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a passion for learning and problem solving
  • Team-oriented with a desire to collaborate
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Previous experience in information security education
  • Familiarity with phishing and social engineering methods
  • Programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript) for automation and data analysis

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a BA/BS or Masters/Advanced Degree
