Our growth is driving us to strengthen our R&D Labs team to accelerate innovation and exploration across Scaleway’s technology perimeter.

Your mission will be to actively contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects in order to prototype and deliver impactful proofs of concept and innovative solutions that could shape the future of our cloud ecosystem.

We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.

You will be part of a 10-person R&D Labs team, working on experimental and cross-functional projects that touch all areas of Scaleway — from cloud infrastructure to software innovation. Each project typically runs for about three months, allowing you to explore new technologies and problem spaces frequently.

Actively contribute to ongoing R&D projects, from ideation to prototype (PoC, MVP, or demo)

Collaborate with engineers across multiple departments to explore and validate innovative concepts

Write technical documentation, internal reports, or open-source contributions

Conduct technological watch and share insights with the team

Participate in brainstorming and technical discussions to drive innovation

Perform rapid prototyping and iterative development based on feedback

Support the creation of demos or internal presentations showcasing project results

Explore emerging technologies relevant to Scaleway’s cloud ecosystem

Engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with current tech trends

Contribute to team meetings and collective decision-making

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+5 / M2) in Computer Science or related field

Solid programming foundations with one or more languages (Go, TypeScript, C, etc.)

Familiarity with tools and environments such as GitLab, Docker, and React or Vue

Understanding of cloud concepts and interest in cloud-native technologies

Ability to design and deliver quick prototypes or MVPs

Curiosity and appetite for learning across diverse topics

Strong communication skills and openness to feedback

Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking

Team spirit and collaborative attitude

Proactivity and willingness to take on challenges

Adaptability and capacity to assimilate new technologies quickly
